RESEARCH AND APPLIED EDUCATION:
AWARE does not take recourse to rhetoric of poverty, deprivation or marginalization but it has substantiated their stances on the issues being faced by people of Thar with figure, facts and objective sources of information. An extensive research on underground water quality in Thar has been conducted with joint collaboration of AWARE. The issue of fluoride contamination in underground water of Thar was identified first time in history. In the same vein, to know the opportunities and available potential to tap, AWARE conducts researches. To know the wind energy potential, a study was conducted and was also presented in an international conference. Research, its type and length/horizon are subject to its nature. AWARE imparts learning/disseminates information by different methods; hands on trainings, setting examples, informal education and publishing literature and by conducting exhibitions and exposures.
