1. AWARE Drought Response:
• WASH
Water is among the core areas of interest and expertise of AWARE. The Modern Technology Solar Submersible pump is a tried and tested tool for water fetching purpose. AWARE has installed 74 solar powered submersible pumps with water metering and platforms in Tharparkar District for drinking purpose. This lessened the burden of 4020 persons in fetching water from long distances, in Tharparkar district. AWARE has introduced pipelines at the doorsteps with proper water metering facility to ensure fair distribution of safe drinking water at the doorsteps.
Water availability, access and its quality are some of the main issues of Thar Desert. Taking out underground water from dug (up to) 350 feet dug wells is a time consuming and physically enduring task.

6. AWARE COVID-19 Response:
The global pandemic of COVID-19 has equally affected the communities in Samaro. There are many people who work as daily wage labour. They especially don not follow the COVID-19 protocol and SoPs.
