Brief Introduction

AWARE is a CSO working in southern Districts of Sindh since 2003. For its work and updates/info in detail, you are requested to visit www.aware.org.pk or Facebook.

Education holds an extraordinary place in AWARE’s areas of intervention. We believe education is critical to bring a positive socio-economic change particularly in Thar Region. Equitable education for all is our mission. Education for all is not a target but an ongoing campaign.

The number of available schools is not sufficient in the area. Lack of trained school staff, less attractive curriculum and child labor due to extreme poverty are some of the main reasons for children dropping out of schools. Girls’ education is not a priority for most of the local people.

AWARE aims to bring children from the most marginalized segments to schools. We focus on increasing the enrollment of children into schools and reducing school dropouts. Our priority is reaching out to the people living in extreme poverty, who are forced by circumstances to make their children work for a living. We keep a special focus on girls’ education.

The area of operation of AWARE requires educational facilities on urgent basis. AWARE has an interest and experience in education sector, some of the major initiatives are mentioned here (and if you have any sort of format then, we would like to submit a formal proposal as well as if your management agrees then we can deliver a formal presentation on innovative initiatives of AWARE).
